Latest Seafood news 6th May
Fish: Happy to inform you that we can offer a full range of our freshly caught fish, processed to suit your needs. Please look at this weeks availablity.
We have been advised by the Salmon farmer that due to increased cost in the feed raw materials a price rise will be effictive as from the 20th of May. The supplier has already absorbed two price increases to date without passing the cost on to ensure you recieve a quality product at a great price.
Oysters: If you have not already done so, try our frozen Tasmanian Oysters. These were a great hit for Mother’s day and more stock is arriving in our warehouse next week.
There is a general shortage of New Zealand Oysters and half shell Mussels, as a result of minimal raw material being available. This is expected to change mid to late July.
Prawns: There is good availabilty of fresh local prawns in both medium and large size. Place your order early to avoid disapointment. I have secured new frozen stock of cooked prawn in small, medium and large size. These are in the warehouse now awaiting your order.
Frozen fillets: We have good stock levels of imported Barramundi fillets availabe in all sizes to meet your requirements. Reef fillets are expected to be unloaded from containers by most importers at the end of this month, with some very competitive prices being offered and will be passed on to the end user.
Local Flake: Unfortunately our supplier has been unable to secure Flake due to poor catches and continued adverse weather conditions. we will advise you when this does become available again.
Don’t forget our Tasmanian Smoked Salmon special is running through to the 18th of May. Make sure you jump on this great offer.
