…Inspire your team
1. If you want to inspire your team, the first place you need to look, is into a mirror. You are the team leader. You must set the attitude and behavior that is acceptable in your work place. You must be the person they look towards when unsure how to respond to a crisis. How you handle these situations will mold how your employee’s respond.
2. Go out of your way to catch your employees doing something great. When you see the right behavior or attitude, reward it!
Take the time to thank each person at the end of their shift for their contribution. Deep down, everyone wants to do a good job and 5 seconds of praise can go a long way.
3. Ensure you set each person up for success. There is nothing more frustrating than doing a job incorrectly. Do they have the right tools? Do they have the right training? Have I done everything I can to ensure they will succeed?
4. Each person needs to understand their role and the impact it has on others to feel accountable. Address any issues with open and honest constructive communication.
