March Seafood Updates
QffS offers premium, fresh Australian sustainable product that is processed on a daily basis and packaged in accordance to HACCP regulations. With the cyclone season nearing its end, we should expect to see less disruption to the fishing boats and their catches. For next day delivery, please place your orders Monday to Thursday by 1:30pm.
With the poor performance of the Australian dollar, pricing on imported products are steadily rising; in particular, Barramundi. However, we have secured large parcels of this product at a very competitive price to meet your needs. With the Reef Fish season commencing in April, there are some shortages of certain species; in particular, 200/300 grades. We have however, ample stock on hand of Snapper, and Coral Trout fillets that is product of South East Asia.
Due to recent adverse conditions, prawn catches are still considerably low, which has impacted on prices remaining at a high dollar value. Some relief on price is hopeful in the coming weeks, when we expect catches to improve. As a suitable substitute, we have a special in our March catalogue for high quality Vannemei Prawns (#37027) which you can view here.
Oysters: If you’re after some excellent local oysters, we currently have some high quality, daily shucked oysters from Coffin Bay available for all your requirements.
