…Promote your restaurant effectively using social media.

Step 1: The key to a successful social media page begins in the planning. Decide what it is, you want to achieve from having a page. This will help you define your content and ultimately your success.

Step 2:  Sites like facebook are social websites. So keep it lighthearted and entertaining. People want to see information that is interesting them, so only post content that your customer is going to want to read. If you wouldn’t read it, chances are your customers won’t want to either.

Step 3: Encourage responses by posting a question. This allows your customer to fell engaged and it gives you the opportunity to get valuable feedback about changes or potential changes to your business.

Step 4: Key it colourful. Most foodies are very visual so keep text to the point. Ensure you include plenty of pictures, graphs or clips.

Step 5: Be prepared for the good and the bad. Decide now how you will handle both the positive and the negative feedback or comments. Having a plan in place will allow you to swiftly handle anything that comes your way.
